About Apel Beats 

Welcome!  I'm Apel Beats (Pronounced Ay-Pell), an electronic music producer and guitar player from Boston, MA.  My signature Funk-EDM sound combines live guitar with huge production, drawing inspiration from electro-funk/soul artists like Opiuo, Griz, Clozee, Pretty Lights, and The Floozies.

I got my start playing in Goosepimp Orchestra, a New England band known for genre bending and explosive latin-funk music.  My production journey has seen me move from hip-hop beats  into EDM, finding a love for electronic beats and visceral sound design.  While I'm no stranger to using samples, I tend to lean toward playing and creating grooves myself, using guitar as the cornerstone sound.  I've steadily released original music for the past 18 years,  charting my evolution and showcasing my production and mixing skills.  In 2024 I left my full-time sales career to pursue music more seriously.

2025 was a big year for Apel Beats.  I'm proud to have released Foundations, an EP of four songs.  I performed live in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island, and created a strong social media presence through strategic branded posts.  I also had the chance to collaborate with a number of musicians, artists, and even a clothing brand, all helping me steadily increase my visibility in the art and music community.

An Apel Beats live performance is a high energy blend of live guitar playing, looping and DJing.  With a deep catalogue of original material, I've got no shortage of sounds to fuel my stage performance.  Expect anything from a huge bass drop to a soaring guitar solo,  backed by midtempo hip-hop,  glitch-hop and funky house beats.
